Stephen discussed the pandemic recession, policy response, and digital transformation in a presentation (audio here).
At the 361Firm & Alumni Connecting! joint conference on “Recovery” we continued a dialogue among family offices and other investors on navigating new investment landscapes. This follows 4 global and 7 “Deep Dive” web conferences, with added breakouts for alumni groups. One takeaway is that we need to do more “Deep Dive” web conferences on these subjects, and we will. Meanwhile, initial takeaways from panels and roundtables:
> Future of Work: many opinions, no consensus, tech guys pivoting products, real estate in flux, range of personal views how/when/if to return to work in offices.
> Asia: diverse economies recalibrating differently
> Sports: Charles Way (ex-NY Giants, head of NFL Player Dev) sees complex considerations on testing, distancing, safety in general, and we are just training now
> Impact: lens wider now to include social justice
> Alumni Connecting!: even more collaborative, some noting being in an “even safer” zone to share ASKs to help each other. Seeing that, we will put the Alumni Roundtables first next time.
