Deep-dive (standalone)

Half- or full-day events focused entirely on the circle's topic. Highest-effort, highest-impact format — great when there's a sponsor interested in the audience or when the circle's narrative has compounded enough to anchor a whole day. Don't pick this for a topic you'd only spend 60 minutes on.

Timeline
T-30
  • Decide the 3 sub-themes that anchor the day (morning / midday / afternoon).
  • Lock the venue capacity range with 361 (50 / 100 / 200 attendees).
  • Draft a 1-paragraph pitch — that's what 361 turns into landing copy + email blast.
T-14
  • Speaker list with confirmed yes/no for each. Replace any 'maybes' with a backup.
  • Send personal intros to your top 10 invitees — generic email blasts don't convert.
  • Decide which sessions are recorded and which are off-the-record.
T-7
  • Pre-event prep call with each speaker (15 min each — keep it tight).
  • Final attendee count to 361 so they can confirm catering / AV.
  • Send a 'what to expect' email to confirmed attendees.
T-1
  • Run-of-show walkthrough with co-leader + 361 ops lead.
  • Verify each speaker has correct timing + a backup time slot if they're flying in.
  • Confirm the recording plan with each speaker once more.
day-of
  • Arrive 60 minutes early. Walk the room. Test the mics.
  • Stand at the door for the first 15 min of arrivals — this sets the tone.
  • Open with 2 minutes of framing — what the day is, what it isn't.
post
  • Send a thank-you email to speakers within 24h with the recording link.
  • Send a recap to attendees within 72h with key takeaways + next-event teaser.
  • Debrief with 361 ops — what worked, what to fix for next time.
Common mistakes
  • Inviting too many panelists per session — 3-4 is the sweet spot.
  • Going dark on speakers between confirm and event day. Send 1 update mid-window.
  • Skipping the run-of-show. Day-of always has surprises; the walkthrough catches half.
  • No backup speaker. Last-minute cancellations are the rule, not the exception.
FAQ
Can 361 secure sponsorship for the day?+
Yes — co-leaders get first right of refusal on sponsor revenue split. Talk to Mark when you're scoping.
What if attendance under-performs?+
We'd rather you cancel 7+ days out than push a half-full room. 361 handles refunds + the comms.
Can I record + share publicly?+
Default: recorded for attendees only. Public release needs explicit speaker consent — 361 collects it pre-event.
