Better Than Bloomberg... this Thursday at 11:30am ET, @Bill Deuchler reconvenes a great panel with @Glenn Grossman (who just left Novartis where he was the Senior Director of Outcomes Research), @Vishal Gulati (VC biotech investor at Draper in London) and @Stephen Cucchiaro (CIO of hedge fund 3EDGE). They will again share updates analyzing outcomes to share updates and analysis of the latest data including on virus mutations and therapeutics. NEW PROGRAM TO ONBOARD DEALS / FUNDS

Every day, I might receive 20+ new investment opportunities, e.g. a fund, direct deal, a secondary, or even a startup idea. It can make your head spin. We had to put these into a database to track. I am now pleased to make this part of our offering to members. Per our “wide funnel”, we will start to circulate these for our members to vet and collaborate in 360 Roundtable. As we need to do so in compliance as part of a broker-dealer, In a first step, we can share no-name information to make everyone aware that a new deal is afoot and curate “suitable” introductions. The good news is that our robust schedule of conferences and now virtual events is interconnecting our network to share great deals, with many closings per the slide below. Now we can multiply the success.

Our Strategic Advisor (SA) program is indeed taking flight. It’s amazing to see all the interconnecting happening now. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON THE STRATEGIC ADVISOR PROGRAM WHAT IS THE HISTORY AND RATIONALE BEHIND THE STRATEGIC ADVISOR PROGRAM? This is how I partnered with a family office. After years as a lawyer, banker, and Partner at Arthur Andersen (where I would find global talent inside and outside the firm on dozens of engagements) and EY, I set up a merchant bank anchored by a family office. I later made it a partial “extension” of a single family office by giving a piece of my time and our teams in NY/London/Moscow/Beijing. We started by doing research on request to analyze deals, eventually hundreds. We used databases (e.g. Pitchbook, CapIQ) and our network to provide insights, valuation analyses, etc. Our team went to hundreds of meetings in far-flung cities around the world (Sarajevo, Hyderabad, Togo, Prince Rupert) We would research and approach funds for partnering on our deals We would find specialist talent, who gave us an hourly rate, and Incorporate them into our team We would support portfolio companies with cap-raising, or creating internal dashboard-led financial models to analyze M&A deals or other investments. I even became an interim CFO of a unionized Canadian company in taking over management
Based on that experience, and after hosting roundtables in 55+ cities in 15+ countries involving over 800 family offices, we saw that these SFOs had similar needs to find quality and trusted talent. WHAT IS THE ETIQUETTE ON “MARKETING” MY SERVICES ON THE 361 PLATFORM? As with other parts of our platform, we ask everyone to participate from a mindset of contributing, as “what comes around, goes around.” As such, don’t pitch in our general forums, but you can feel free to reach out to people on our App privately, but do so by trying to help before asking to be paid. By being an active participant in ur ecosystem, you can become known organically. DO I NEED TO CHARGE? No, as some SAs are happy to help the community or a philanthropy, you can choose not to charge or to discount your rate or even take equity instead of cash. DO I NEED TO TAKE ON ANY ENGAGEMENT? No, you have full discretion DO I NEED TO DO COURTESY CALLS? Yes, we ask all members of our community to respond to other members within 1-2 business days and to make yourself available for at least a 5-minute call. You never know, in that it could lead to something down the road. HOW DOES 361 MAKE MONEY AND CAN I SHARE IN THAT VIA REFERRALS? If an SA is hired via the 361 network, 361 takes a referral fee of 20%. Likewise, if you refer another SA or member, and we earn revenues from them, we share 20% of that DO WE HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT? No, but feedback is a gift. We will figure it out together.
