At our 2019 London Conference, Stephen Burke arrived early with newspapers and kicked off a discussion of global happenings. We then formally did this in 10 roundtables from Dallas to Ohio in March 2000. When we moved to weekly Zooms (with Covid), Stephen did a Macro Briefing, and we kept it going - see Briefings Playlist on our 361 YT channel and last week’s #195 Briefing on the Digital Economy (recording).

On Feb. 6, we host our 200th Briefing via Zoom plus "in person” gatherings around the world. Some may be accompanied by lunch (e.g. New York at ARS, 529 5th Ave), receptions (e.g. in London, Dubai), breakfast on the West Coast. To help us mobilize, come to the Tuesday 10:30 am Town Hall (subscribe).

Like last year with 150+ participants, our Florida conferences start on Saturday, this time Jan. 27 at the new AC Naples 5th Ave with panels and breakouts on investing by regions, assets, industries & philanthropic interests. Sunday focuses on the business of sports, leading to our Pickleball Mixer. We then head to Miami for evening gatherings and a conference on Monday. Speakers include Jim Pallotta (ex-Tudor, Celtics & AC Roma), Winston Ma (author on China's tech investing and global implications, ex-CCCC Director), Peter Borish (Robin Hood), Deepika Sharma, CFA (Blackrock Head of Mgr Selection); Ken Goldman (ex-Head of Eric Schmidt FO); Jon Najarian (ex-CNBC Squawk Box); plus maybe again Mr. Wonderful Kevin O'Leary.
