Ohio Heritage and Core “Ohio Red Carpet” Conference on Sept. 26-28. Participation peaks (250+) in Ohio Sept. 27-28, thanks to co-leaders and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted. We start in Ohio Sat., Sept. 25 in Cincinnati with a tour, panels at VC hub Cintrifuse and a Reds game hosted by the owners. We host Sunday golf and a reception at Denison University where we kick off Day 1 (Sept. 27) with high-profile keynotes and panelists. After lunch we move to downtown Columbus with a panels and “360 Roundtable” breakouts on 15+ industries - then cocktails and dinners. Day 2 focuses on asset classes and regions, first global by continents and then statewide, with breakouts. After lunch we move to Cleveland for a jam-packed afternoon at labs of Nottingham-Spirk/EY's + Cleveland Clinic, NASA, Case Western. Then we head downtown for a tour and reception at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

University of Michigan Heritage and Sept. 24 Detroit Roundtable & U-Michigan Innovation Summit. You can’t spend three years in Ann Arbor and not fall in love. Ohio and Michigan have more in common than not. For example, the Automotive industry intertwines the Midwest, undergoing a reshoring surge. As to EV, Autonomous Mobility and related technologies, the Midwest is competing for its share. That will be showcased on Sept. 24 when we partner with the U-Michigan’s Tech Transfer Office, whose R&D ranks Top 3 with Stanford and MIT. Thanks to TTO Chair John Denniston (CEO AgTech company SharedX) we will see presentations from some of the best technologies coming out of UM and interact with the Michigan VC community. In Detroit, we have a wider agenda including cannabis, manufacturing, Opp Zones and energy

Chicago Conference - Sept. 23. Chicago is by far the largest city in the Midwest with a long history of dynamic entrepreneurs such as Sam Zell and the Pritzgers. Thanks to our friend Ron Diamond and many other co-leaders we will feature great panels of founders, investors and civic leaders. We will dedicate tracks and breakouts to its key industries like healthcare or rapidly growing there like cannabis and crypto. Like all cities, we will focus on impact with a panel and breakout as well as a morning tour of the South Side..

Pittsburgh & Buffalo - Sept. 29. Pittsburgh has transformed since my Ohio days. Our recent roundtables there shed light on a vibrant city leveraging technologies out of Carnegie Mellon which we will visit. Pittsburgh also has a large base of family offices and foundations, and many of them will join us for lunch. The Buffalo and Rochester area is often overlooked but was once the richest in the country. Its community is tightly knit and many of its movers and shakers will join us at the Saturn Club reception followed by dinners. The next morning we have breakfast and tour sites that will surprise you.

Toronto via Niagara Falls - Sept. 30. Toronto is Canada’s largest city by population and its key financial center. Subject to lockdown protocols being cleared and clarified, we will head there via Niagara Falls where we will stop to take in the sight. We are working on a very special event there, which we hope to announce by mid-August. Stay tuned.
